Photo-etched: For photo-etched, the color pigments used are same as the one in soft enamel, unlike soft enamel, an image of design is transferred from a photographic negative onto surface of the metal. You design is then etched into the brass using an acid-reaction process. Each recessed area is hand-filled with radiant soft enamel and baked to harden, and cut out the desired shape after baked. We could add epoxy layer for further protect. Silk screen process maybe added to enhance small details. The regular thickness for photo etched pins is 0.8mm and usually to epoxy dome on the surface to protect the enamel colors.
